Walks, Research, Foreign workers

This week is not going well in walk-land. So far I've only gotten one in---I just walked home from school. Yikes! This is probably the case due to the fact that it's been raining like unpaid badger blood, and that makes it a bit unpleasant to walk in. Luckily, I have my new/trusty umbrella. Unluckily, it means I still can't sexykick & walk. Hopefully I can find four more walks between now and Saturday. I got in a lot last week... especially when I went on a crazy hike in California.

It's likely that people wish that I would write more about my personal life here... that's likely the only interesting thing I've got going on. However, I do have some interesting research going on! I'm currenly working on trying to prove PSPACE-completeness for a simple game. This is my first time with PSPACE-completeness, so I'm having a bit of a hard time... but it should all work out. I'm also working on doing coding for low-stretch spanning trees (very cool stuff---I promise!) and also coding for some segregation analysis with some econ people here at BU. I also have all sorts of side projects that I wish I had time for (fix scripts, sidekick software, etc, etc).

I really feel like I need someone to explain one of the latest political thingies to me: the protests from foreign workers. If I understand correctly, they're protesting some bill (or were) that would make it harder to immigrate into the US. What I don't really understand is not why it's so easy for foreigners to get into the states without passing customs, but why it's so easy for people to illegally hire immigrants in the US. Any explanations would be good for me:-P

Okay, off to bed in my unheated apartment!
